So there is no one-size-fits-all solution \u2014 the tyre is chosen based on where the vehicle spends most of its time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. SUV tyre types<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>HT (Highway Terrain)<\/strong> \u2014 for asphalt and highway: quiet, economical, with a long service life. Suitable for crossovers and urban SUVs.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>AT (All Terrain)<\/strong> \u2014 all-purpose: they hold the road confidently on the highway and cope well on soil and gravel.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>RT (Rugged Terrain)<\/strong> \u2014 an intermediate option between AT and MT: more aggressive off-road and still acceptable on asphalt.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>MT (Mud Terrain)<\/strong> \u2014 for mud, rocks and serious off-road: large blocks and reinforced sidewalls, but on the highway these tyres are noisy and wear faster.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Sidewall strength and load index<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An SUV is heavier than a passenger car and often carries a load or tows a trailer. Size and ground clearance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Larger-diameter tyres increase ground clearance but may rub against the wheel arch liners when turning and affect the speedometer and transmission. Before fitting a non-standard size, check whether the vehicle manufacturer allows it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Off-road pressure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On sand and soft ground, pressure is sometimes reduced to enlarge the contact patch and avoid digging in. Restore the operating pressure as soon as you are back on a hard surface: driving on deflated tyres on asphalt destroys the sidewall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.
